The Chroma Design System
Chroma is a multi-brand design system built by and for IAG teams. It includes a library of components and patterns which can be used with any Chroma brand theme.
Chroma helps digital teams achieve:
- Consistency across design and code
- Quality outcomes through evidence-based design
- Shared language from design through to development
- Reduced redundancy from tried and tested solutions
- Robust resources that have been tested and individually released
- Speed of delivery from re-usable components, patterns and templates
- A single source of truth for design and code.
Chroma and components
Chroma makes it possible to create consistent customer experiences across digital products, by making sure Chroma components can be:
- Re-used: components can be used repeatedly across different applications
- Re-branded: Chroma apps can be reskinned so they can be used with different brands
- Re-purposed: Chroma components can be adapted for multiple purposes
Chroma and brands
Brand teams can customise predefined attributes in Chroma components, including primary and secondary colours, fonts, border radius, and more.
Attributes provide a way of tailoring the overall interface to suit the needs of each individual brand.
Chroma and digital teams
Chroma can be used by anyone involved in designing and developing digital products:
- UX and UI designers
- User researchers
- Service designers
- Content designers
- Engineers
- Product owners
- Iteration managers
